Cage World uses stainless steel open leg bands with a unique Cage World number on them.  You may purchase a leg band from us and we will record the band number in our data base. The database also will contain your information as well as your bird's. 

How cage world uses leg bands

Cage World places leg bands on most of our birds when we receive the bird. If the bird has an existing leg band when we receive it, and the band is readable, then we will not re-band the bird.   If an existing band is unreadable, we will place a new band on the bird, but we will not remove the old band.  This is done for store inventory purposes only. The bands are stainless steel open bands and all of the band numbers start with  "CW AZ" followed by a three or four digit number.

Cage World leg bands are not  "Breeder Bands"  or  "Quarantine Bands".  We use them for inventory purposes ONLY.   We do document our leg band numbers in a computer database, so if you have a bird with a Cage World leg band, we are able to retrieve the information we have for that bird.
